Panasonic obviously decided to rip-off/cheat their own 'valuable' customers with lowering the quality of the movie-mode on their Photo-Camera's with intention with interpolating e.g. 480 horizontally lines out of 240 lines, what produces a horrible video quality
Of course they don't mention it in the spezifications, they rather tell wonderful things about an image-stabilizer during the movie-mode and advertise with their 848x480 [30/10 B/s] / 1280x720 [15 B/s] modes.
That's a lie, because it's no 848x480 obviously, it's rather a 848x240 interpolated thing, and they have to state that, but Panasonic prefers to cheat their own customers.
It turns out, the video mode is almost useless, and I don't want to carry a photo-cam and a video-cam with me during holidays, because todays photo-cams can easily make satisfying movies (for my purpose) with the exception of Panasonic new rip-off ones.
Panasonic obviously prefers to damage the movie-quality on their new lx2 and FZ50 with intention, without notifiying about that interpolation in the specifications. They don't mind hurting their own valuable customers, as long they can/'hope to' sell more of their 'real' video-cams.
Panasonice does not mind to cheat/lie/"make things worse with intention", as long they have the hope to make more money! And that's fu***** ugly
My costumer care's ('panasonic.ch' John Lay Electronics) best advice was, I shall sell it on Ebay (of course with the money loss beeing my problem).
(Video itself) The
panasonic video is built out of such inferior single pics. See
how the ugly interpolating produces many 'stairs'. That's for
sure not a native 848x480 resolution, as mentioned in the
specifications.

Aber was will man schon, wenn da einfach nirgends was stehen will von Interpolation :(
